We offer a service where you can start off your residential driving course from home or at a similar chosen location. This is unique to DTD UK and is especially advantageous for two main reasons.

1. When the student feels a little uncomfortable with being unaccompanied on public transport to our Peak District location and initially arriving at the accommodation all alone and possibly feeling a little uneasy.
2. When the student owns a vehicle and they wish to take up this excellent opportunity of using their own car upon the driving course that could be to their great advantage.

This home start service may very well be useful to other situations. However, it's available to all, if so required, and you just need to ask us about the details if this genuine offer appears to be of some interest.

How does this work?

Well, you have two main options that can be modified somewhat to suit the individual student.

1. Your tutor can arrive at your chosen location on day one of the course and your programme will start off immediately by you driving under full instruction to The Peak District. Then, it's onward to your previously booked accommodation. This is a highly recommended option, as you will be acquiring some very important driving skills en-route so as to hold you in very good stead for the remainder of the course.
2. As an alternative, you can drive both the tutor and yourself back to Derbyshire, as previously suggested. And the time you participate in tuition and travel can be in addition to the overall recommended programme that was pre-booked so as to improve your driving expertise even further. Or, your tutor can drive the car with you as passenger if you so wish. Again, as above, you can either use your own vehicle for the complete programme or indeed utilize our own school car as would be conventional.

The choice is yours!

Remember, this service is an option only. It can also consist of many different applications so as to suit the individual. It will be very useful to many but not to some. It could also reduce your overall driving course costs a little which may be helpful! Arriving at your destination via public transport is not usually a problem. There are very good train, coach and taxi services that will take you virtually to the doorstep at your chosen accommodation. Quite simply, we are a very versatile training establishment and we wish to make your life nice and easy and very comfortable right from day one by offering you this exclusive available service.
