DTD UK started out in 1975 as a conventional driving school offering single lesson slots on a weekly basis.

Eventually, we converted to offering intensive residential driving courses about 15 years ago so as every UK learner-driver could benefit from our exclusive services.

These driving courses were directed to the learner-drivers whom were experiencing some difficulties within their driver-training syllabus elsewhere and also finding it very troublesome indeed within passing the regulatory DSA driving test.

Our services went on to flourish. Intensive residential driving schools became a very popular way of learning to drive quickly and efficiently compared with single weekly slots where the programme was tedious, tiresome and in truth it just took too long a time.

This was especially so when the average inner-city or larger town student found only one hour or so per week just didn't leave enough time all around to satisfy the in-car training schedule that should actually be required. And unfortunately their development in many cases then became regressed.

Currently, we operate all our driving courses from Matlock Derbyshire. The location is bordering the Peak District National Park and is a tourist haven. This has been selectively chosen so as you can relax and enjoy your free time after the driving module of the day.

Today, Driving Test Doctors UK is the only nationally recognised residential intensive driving school offering a driver rectification course that is directly sensitive to your needs in such a lovely rural location away from the city and larger town congestions.

We still offer conventional driving programmes to the novice, intermediate and advanced learner-driver alike. They are all conducted on an intensive residential basis and this is by far the most effective method of learning.
